Community Supervisor

Gateway Project is a community employment scheme, providing education and skills/training for women in the community. We are seeking to recruit a Community Employment Supervisor, who will ensure the effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the financial, and material resources of the CE scheme.

A core aspect of the role is to support and coach CE participants towards gaining the training/skills and competencies in preparation for employment. The focus of our activities is on areas where people experience disadvantage and our work is aimed across key thematic areas: Community Development, Enterprise and Employment, Lifelong Learning, Recovery /Health and Well Being.

Main duties:
Knowledge of Post – Have a reasonable knowledge of the role of the Community Employment Supervisor. Display responsibility, commitment and motivation to implement the spirit of Community Employment.
Work Experience – Skills relevant to supervision through previous work experience (3 years minimum).
Previous management experience in Administration, and/or Training delivery or other relevant positions.
Interpersonal Skills – Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Education & Training – Major Award at 3rd Level (NFQ Level 6 or higher) Training Qualification.
IT literate.
Salary will be Point 1 on the DSP Supervisor salary scale unless transferring from another supervisor role.
