Pastry Chef
Job description
· Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, breads etc…following traditional and modern recipes.
· Decorating pastries, using different icings, toppings etc… to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
· Monitoring stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc…and make appropriate orders within a budget.
· Check quality of material and conditions of equipment and devices used for cooking.
· Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
· Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to Health and Safety policies and regulations.
· Great attention to details and creativity.
· To handle pressure calmly and professionally.
· Personal grooming and appearance standard are met regarding cleanliness and hygiene.
· Attend training course as and when required.
