Experienced Practice Accountant

Experienced Qualified Practice Accountant – Cork City Centre, NON-AUDIT, WORK LIFE BALANCE, FLEXIBLE HOURS, OFFICE BASED

The Role
The successful candidate must have three years practice experience with an accounting firm, have customer service skills and contribute to the development of the firm. Accountants ‘qualified by experience’ will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
• Managing a portfolio of varied clients / main point of contact
• Ability to prioritise & plan assignments
• Completion of financial statements & review of bookkeeping for SME businesses
• Preparing income tax and corporation tax returns
• Filing Companies Registration Office returns
• Management accounts
• Coaching junior employees

The successful candidate should:
• Have at least 2 years Irish practice experience or be “qualified by experience”
• Hold a recognised qualification – ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent experience
• Have excellent attention to detail, customer service & value add focus
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills
• Be proactive and able to work on own initiative
• Ideally candidates will have familiarity with the following software packages:
o Relate accounts production & Drive
o Dext / Surf Accounts
o Thesaurus payroll
o Core & ROS

Job Type:
Full-time, office based, 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced qualified practice accountant to be based in Cork City Centre. We are looking for a professional individual with a strong work ethic and ambition to enhance their own skillset. You will be helping a wide range of small business owners and working closely with the practice owner.
