We are seeking to hire a full-time HGV Mechanic to join our hugely successful and award winning team. We operate private coach hire, scheduled services, a wide range of day tours in Ireland and the iconic red open top tour buses in Dublin. Due to continued expansion and growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic, can-do Coach and Bus Mechanic to join our busy Service and Maintenance Team. Responsibilities include:
• Adhering to the DOE schedule
• Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide updates on a daily basis
• Ensure good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and safe workplace
• Work with bus models such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, MAN and Iveco
The successful candidate will ideally:
• Be a fully qualified HGV Mechanic
• HGV licence essential
• Be a people person with excellent interpersonal and people management skills
• Demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills
• Be friendly with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Be diligent, with a flexible and can do approach to work
• Work well under pressure
• A HGV Mechanic qualification
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• A HGV Licence – Bus Licence preferred
• A high level of technical knowledge.
• Good communication skill
• Experience working with:
• Diagnostic systems
• Gear boxes
• ABS systems
• Air Conditioning systems,
• Electric installations
• Door systems
Experience:
• Mechanic: 2 years – Preferably working with Buses & Trucks
• Diagnosis: 1 year – Preferred
• HGV: 1 year – Preferred
Salary
• €45k-€55 minimum 40 hours per week.
• Extra earning with after hours cover.
